Happy Chronic Bitch Dependence Day
Posted by fotonurth under Uncategorized | Tags: Life, Lobotomy, work |Leave a Comment
It’s that day again. The day where being single is taboo. Where corporations use love to milk our wallets by endorsing materialistic love. Then again I’m bitter.
Sorry for the lack of posts. Been working an ass load. It’s crunch time. Some of the new crew members are kinda sketchy…. but it’ll all gel together. Not a lot a time for anything else.

A Song I’ve Written
Posted by fotonurth under Uncategorized | Tags: Life, Lobotomy, love, Music |1 Comment
Recently I’ve been struck with a bout of Inspiration. Writing and creating. And for the first time in years I have a song I’ve written. Inspired by life. It’s meant to be sung by Dave Gahan….but considering that isn’t gonna happen, I’ll just leave it unsung. Check it out after the break. Note….it’s not emo. It’s influenced by Depeche Mode’s writing style on the album ‘Songs of Faith and Devotion.

A Short Description of my Job
Posted by fotonurth under Uncategorized | Tags: Life, lights, Lobotomy, work |Leave a Comment
For Now my 8:00- 4:30 shift is a tedious but important task. I’m sorting nearly 1200 gels ( a cellophane like material used for tinting stage lates) according to color, light fixture, set location, size, and purpose. Often stopping to frame each one and size them if needed. I stare at lists that would seem like gibberish to the Lay Man. If you can tell me you know what
SR 2-D3-B #1 Etc 50 Degree (Dim 907) R01
translates into, then you have an idea of what 8 hours of having to organize, frame, and cut that much gel is like.
Not always fun.
But it’s the single biggest production I’ve ever been involved with. It’s not a gig I’ve started. It’s a career.

Paying Debt to Karma – A Mix Tape
Posted by fotonurth under Lobotomy | Tags: Chronic Bitch Dependency, Life, Music |1 Comment
When I need to express something I do a ‘Mix Tape’. Which is actually me doing a club mix of songs that express what I’m feeling. Usually featuring a ton of songs by my favorite group Depeche Mode (Whose lead singer, Dave Gahan, is pictured to the right. A pic from the first DM Concert I went To). So I sat down tonight and put together a mix that’s about an hour long. I feel better now.
Check it out after the break.

The Projects; Life related and not life related post
Posted by fotonurth under Lobotomy | Tags: Life, Lobotomy, PSP Project |Leave a Comment
Well this is my first General Life Post. Had a job interview on the 10th, that went extremely well. From the people I talk to who work there I should be expecting an offer soon. *Crosses Fingers* I’ve been unemployed since June….the curse of working in a theater town. If you don’t get in at the beginning of season, chances are against you getting a job the rest of the year. Which sucks, cuz you never know when one of these theaters is gonna go under and suddenly everyone’s out of a job. It’s what happened to me. That coupled with a break up that followed shortly thereafter, I’ve had a lot of free time. So I’ve taken the time to learn PSP Homebrew programming, play lotsa games, and be generally lazy, only doing odd jobs here or there and one website job.
This learning of PSP Development has given me the tools to do something I’ve always wanted. Program a console game. Though a simple one, I have concepts for an RPG I plan on developing for the PSP platform. I’ve got some concept art and story concepts that I hope to post in the next week. (No Promises on Art….No Scanner). But If I get this offer when I’m hearing I’m going to, this game could be in concept for a long time. Seeing as I’d become a full time Professional Lighting Technician for the biggest theater in town sometime NEXT WEEK. So Keep your eyes peeled for updates on this Project.
